Therapeutic actions: Drosperinone and Estradiolk are female hormones. Drosperinone regulates menstural cycles and ovulation process is used in the development of the whole reproductive system in a woman's body.

Contraindications and cautions: If any of the following apply to you consult your doctor before using Angeliq:

• Liver dysfunction
• Jaundice
• Kidney dysfunction
• Adrenal insufficiency
• Blood-clotting disorders – hemophilia or others
• Any conditions involving blood clotting
• Vaginal Bleeding
• Cancer of different genesis
• Elevated potassium levels

The following conditions may require you to change the dosage of Angeliq:

• Hypertension
• Angina
• Heart related problems
• High cholesterol
• Liver or kidney disease
• Asthma
• Depression
• Epilepsy
• Migraines
• Gallbalder dysfunction
• Hysterectomy
• Uterine fibroids

Angeliq is in FDA pregnancy category X meaning that not under any circumstances it should not be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding or if you are planning to become pregnant. Using may increase the possibility of appearance of uterine tumors. In Angeliq Drosperinone may reduce the risk.

Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Angeliq will experience it or any other. Side effects of Angeliq include:

Allergic reactions: hives, swelling, difficulty breathing. If any of these appear stop the use of Angeliq immediately.

Other side-effects include:

• Angina
• Short breath
• Weakness
• Numbness
• headache, confusion, vision, speech and balance problems
• Vaginal bleeding
• Pain in the lower abdominal region
• Swelling
• Jaundice
• Breast lumps

Other less serious side-effects that may need a dosage adjustment are:

• Nausea, vomiting
• Breast enlargement
• Feet and hand swelling
• Darkened skin
• Changes in the menses periods
• Headaches, migraines
• Dizziness
• Fainting
• Inability to wear contact lenses
• Yeast infection of the vagina
