Therapeutic actions: Celebrex(celecoxib) belongs to a group of medicines called NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). Celebrex inhibits the enzyme COX2( cyclooxigenase-2) resulting in inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators called prostoglandins. Thus, Celebrex exerts anti-inflammatory and moderate analgesic effects.
